Where it all Began
GBS Guitars is a shop dedicated to making custom electric guitars and guitar repair. The shop is located in the hamlet of Stouffville, in the heart of York Region, Ontario.
I started building guitars as a hobby in the early 1990's. After the first few models, my musician friends were requesting I fabricate guitars for them. Having found something that I truly enjoy, it was easy to oblige. Gradually my skill set, experience, and toolkit grew and in 2004 I started GBS Guitars.
I build guitars from scratch using wood that is carefully selected for quality. In addition I can also repair your current model. The following are some of the more common requests:
- Broken headstock
- Neck settings
- Fret work (including re-fretting)
- Wiring
- Pick up installation
- Replacing plastic nut with bone or brass
No job is too small! If you need to get your guitar fixed or you're looking
